Saudi Arabia-UAE Most young people are suffering from cancer, research

According to a study, young people in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have a significantly higher risk of cancer than young people in the United States and European countries.

 According to a report by Arab media Al Arabiya, it has been revealed that more than half of the people suffering from cancer in both countries are under 50 years of age. About 45.4% of new cancer cases in the UAE are between the ages of 20 and 49, compared to 39.4% in Saudi Arabia. 

 The rate is four times higher than in countries such as Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, where people aged 20 and 49 have cancer rates of 8%, 8.75% and 8.33%, respectively.

 The study found that the number of young people suffering from cancer in the UAE is increasing every year, and women are more likely to be affected.

 Breast, colorectal, thyroid and leukemia cancers are the most common in both sexes. According to the report, the increase in cancer rate is due to smoking, poor diet, lack of physical activity or being overweight.
