Germany announces easing of travel bans on corona virus |
German Foreign Minister:According to AFP, German Foreign Minister Heiko Moss has said that Germany will lift its travel ban on most countries affected by the global corona epidemic from July 1.
He said countries that recorded an infection rate of 50 to 200 per 100,000 people in seven days would no longer be considered a risk zone.
The German foreign minister said there were different types of viruses in countries with high rates of infection, such as the United Kingdom and India.
"Hope and confidence are returning with the summer," he said. The number of infections is declining in many places and more and more citizens have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
"After several months of lockdown, we are looking forward to more normalcy and this also applies to travel," the German foreign minister said.
Heiko Moss stressed that lifting sanctions should not be seen as an "invitation to negligence.
No one can claim to be surprised by the epidemic during the summer 2021 holidays," he warned,
It should be noted that Germany has eased most of the restrictions in recent weeks, including permission to reopen shops and restaurants,
However, stores still have regular testing rules for masks, school children and domestic workers
