Although the tournament was allotted to India. the recent addition of COVID-19 in India has meant that the ICC Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has decided to move the tournament to the United Arab Emirates "UAE ",Will put pressure on Alternate venue for the tournament
In a special general meeting on Saturday, the BCCI decided to seek a one-month extension from the ICC to finalize the venue. Interestingly, the meeting decided to restructure the rest of the Indian Premier League in the UAE before the T20 World Cup.
