Pakistan attempted to climb K2, the world's second highest peak in winter. |
Gilgit-Baltistan Information Minister Fatehullah Khan said the bodies of three climbers, including national diamond Muhammad Ali Sadpara, had been found.
The bodies of the three climbers were found near the Bottleneck base camp.
Earlier, Alpine Adventure Kids, a mountaineering adventure company, reported the bodies in a Twitter message. The statement further said that the body of Muhammad Ali Sadpara was found 300 meters away from K-2 hill bottle nick.
In February this year, an operation was launched to find Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Iceland's John Sunori and Jawan's young Pablo Moore, who went missing in a K2 clash. However, it was later postponed.
