A company specializing in cryptocurrency transfers has said that hackers may have stolen cryptocurrency worth 60-million. |
According to AFP, a related company called PolyNetwork has asked traders working in cryptocurrency deposit 'vaults' to refrain from taking Ethereum, Binus China and Ox Polygon tokens.
Addressing the thieves, PollyNetwork wrote on Twitter that "the amount they have hacked is the largest amount in Defy's history."
It should be noted that Defy is a financial system that relies on blockchain technology and is related to cryptocurrency.
The police network has asked police to be involved in the case. However, hackers have also been given the opportunity to "work on solutions" with them.
The U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
However, in another tweet, PollyNetwork said, "We apologize that the #PolicyNetwork has been attacked and assets have been transferred to hacker accounts."
PollyNetwork has posted online the addresses of the accounts used by hackers, saying "relevant blockchains and blacklisted tokens working on crypto exchanges." PollyNetwork did not respond to a request for comment from AFP. However, Twitter users said the amount of hacked cryptocurrency was about 600 600,600 million.
As of the end of April this year, the amount of hacked or stolen cryptocurrency was approximately ً 432 million.
CypressTrace accounts for 60% of all other hacking and thefts, according to a CypressTrace report.
