New Zealand, amazing green pool of water called the Devil's Bath.

There is no shortage of interesting natural wonders in the Yo Tapu area of New Zealand, but the most interesting place here is an amazing green pool of water called the Devil's Bath.

Today, the Tapu Volcano Zone is one of New Zealand's most diverse and spectacular geothermal areas. The site came into being 230,000 years ago during a massive volcanic eruption.

The green water in this pond is due to a mixture of hydrogen sulfide gases and ferrous salts. The intensity of the green color depends on the amount of sunlight falling on it and the amount of minerals found in the water. It doesn't happen that the water of this pond does not look strange. However, the water has an unpleasant odor, which is said to be half gutter and half bad egg. For this reason, the pool is called the Devil's Bath.

The pond is spread over 11 square miles and attracts a large number of tourists. There is also a platform for tourists to stand and easily view the pond.

Apart from the angle at which the sun's rays hit the water, other things that affect the color of this strange pond are the presence of iron in the water, which gives the water a very green color, and the presence of sulfur. Which gives it a light green color. However, this pool is not for swimming because the acid found in this water can easily damage one's skin.
