Karachi (February 22, 2021) In the third match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6, Quetta Gladiators have given Lahore Qalandars a target of 179 runs for victory. On the third day of PSL 6 being played at National Stadium, Karachi, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and invited Quetta Gladiators to bat first. For the Gladiators, Tom Benton and Saeem Ayub opened and took a cautious approach but in the second over, Benton scored just four runs and was dismissed by Harris Rauf.
Shaheen Afridi sent Saeem Ayub to the pavilion in the third over, who scored 3 runs. Lahore Qalandars did not give Chris Gayle an easy catch in the 7th over, Sarfraz also batted well from the other end.
Chris Gayle took the opportunity to bat aggressively and completed his first half-century in the PSL, including four fours and four sixes.
Sarfraz Ahmed and Chris Gayle shared 101 runs, Haris Rauf ended the captain's innings at 40 runs. Rashid Khan blew Chris Gayle's wickets to give the Lahore Qalandars a sigh of relief. Gayle was dismissed for 68 off 40 balls with the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes. Ahmed Daniel caught Azam Khan at the hands of Shaheen Afridi. He scored 13 runs off 9 balls with the help of a four.
Quetta Gladiators
lost to Karachi Kings in the first match while Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 4 wickets to start the tournament victoriously. Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar said that a change has taken place in the team. Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed said that they will try to play well and two changes have been made in the team.
